MDBF Webinarları – Dr. Eylem Erdoğan
Mühendislik ve Doğa Bilimleri Fakültemizin düzenlediği webinar serisi kapsamında 11 Mart Cuma saat 14.00’te Medeniyet Üniversitesi’nden Dr. Eylem Erdoğan, “Vertical Heterogeneous Network From the Physical Layer Point of View: Basics, Possible Configurations and Interesting Research Problems” başlıklı bir sunum yapacak.
Zoom üzerinden gerçekleşecek etkinlik ilgilenen herkesin katılımına açıktır.
Özet: The need of ubiquitous, flawless distance-insensitive wireless connectivity that can provide wide service coverage and high-fidelity services for all the users, can be achieved by unique integration of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) for next generation communication systems. This vision is also consistent with the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) activities as defined in TR 38.811. The integration of terrestrial and NTNs is also envisioned by the Vertical heterogeneous network (VHetNet) architecture which is a threelayer Vertical communication model consisting of satellites network, aerial network and terrestrial network within the context of Sixth Generation (6G) vision. In this talk, possible VHetNet architecture configurations which are equipped with laser transceivers will be presented. Furthermore, opportunities, challenges and interesting research problems will be discussed from the physical layer point of view.
